Anyone else experience this? Of all my tanks in the past I've never had it, I've kept refugiums, DSB's etc.
I assume it is from either the Prodibio dosing or the 2 part?

Most likely it is bacteria causing the clumping. I have experienced the same thing. I suspect it may be a bi-product of carbon dosing.

I don't dose bacteria so I can't speak to that, but I have had the upper inch or so of substrate in my refugium turn solid when I was dosing too much DIY 2-part alk. At the same time this was happening I was also having carbonate buildup on the glass of the refugium. If your also experiencing something similar then I would start by looking at your alkalinity. That is... if you can find a test kit you trust!

Sounds like it could be both!
I have read that sunnyx has this issue once in a while too from pro-biotic dosing. Always a good idea to stir the bed periodically, as part of regular maintanace. A bit of vacuming shouldnt hurt either as long as your not using a deep sand bed.
