DIY sump

I want to build a new sump and don't know where to start. I know I want a tank that is 36x12x12 or instead of 12 wide maybe 18 wide. What kind of silicone do I need and where do I get the pieces of glass? Any one have any ideas that are willing to share.

I don't think I have a lot of flow it's a 120 gal and I have two pumps and they put out 1400 gph combined. And thanks for the info!!!
