I started with a medium one from Choice (Nephtyigorgia) and then found another at Tropicorium. I combined them and have been working on the training and feeding for a month or so. Now it looks like this and open all day. It is 8 inches by 8 inches.

It is feeding well on cyclopeeze twice a day and then I feed 8 times a day a mixture of Fauna Marin Clam Food/Ultra Min/Sea Fan Food. It seems to go more for the Cyclopeeze but feeds on everything. This is what it looked like when I got it. A little starved, LOL. It has come a long way baby!

Carnations are one of the hardest to keep. If its happy and is growing then you are doing something right.

Nice job!!!

It is actually closer to a Chili coral then a Carnation. It is way easier to feed then a Dendronephthya or a scleronephthya. I have read both Alcyonium and Nephtyigorgia being called Chilis. Alcyonium is the more common. It for sure wants to stand upright. My Alcys want to hang upside down. Thanks fo the kind words all!!
