Default 12kW GE Generator installed finally

After nearly two months of waiting it is now installed and working. No more worries about power outages!!! It took three guys around 6 hours to do the install. Power was off for about 1.5 hours. They had to move the service line slightly over but other than that it went smooth.

    I've got da power

Good to hear Mike. Can we get some pictures and details on what needs to be done if and when power goes out! Or is it all automatic. Don't forget to leave some room in the tank for my corals in case there is a prolonged outage up here, it's a little far away to run an extension cord.

If it's got a automatic transfer switch on it, then it should kick in within like 15-30 seconds of the power going out and then turn off when the power comes back on. I *think* you have to have one of those on a gen set that size now days, plus the bigger ones have an 'excercise' where they run for like 10-15 minutes once a month or maybe every 2 weeks just to keep everything lubricated and whatnot.

A little over 6K installed. I have the auto transfer switch and it does do a self test monthly.

^ you forgot the one thing you have left to worry about.....

Next time the power goes out, ya gotta worry about all us local reefers banging on your door with buckets full of fish/coral!!!! Your gonna need an awsome alarm system/fence w/ automatic gate around your house to keep us away!!!

J/K mike....kinda....Glad to hear ya got it all buttoned up!
