So I have this friend who found these 3/8"-16 Nylon Thread Rod (4' length) and wants to use them to scape some super gravity defying rockwork. Has anyone ever used them? If so are they worth the money? Also are there things you can buy at the local hardware store that would do the same thing and be safe in your reef tank?

Mike a user on this site used that exact thing and liked it. get the threaded nuts too for extra hold.
Since i didnt feel like waiting i found out that fiberglass rods work just as well.
So i went to lowes and found those yard markers that are usullay bright orange, good for smaller rocks, might be able to use a few for larger rocks but cheap. Great for nanos!!!
