    Default Chaeto in 2nd chamber

I have a media rack in the 2nd chamber of my biocube-2nd tier has 2 small pieces of LR rubble and what used to be a larger then a golf ball size clump of chaeto which is light 8hrs a day with a 3w nano led.
Well the chaeto although still very green, is breaking up. Very small pieces at that. Is this normal? Should I remove the rubble pieces? Should I just replace the chaeto?

healthy cheato may have a little bit break off here or there, how much, percentage wise falls away at a time? also, how much has the golfball sized clump grown?

my guess is that it has probably grown a bit and it's running low on room so it's breaking apart a little as it hits the chamber walls.

It doesn't hit the chamber walls. Its stationary inside a media rack that's placed into the 2nd chamber. I've heard that it does best if allowed to tumble but I don't have that option with my setup. I was just wondering is it going to keep breaking up and I'll eventually have to replace it? Now I'm wondering if there a way I could allow it to tumble? Man oh man!!
