    Default Chips in the glass!!!!

I finally got my 75 gallon back up and running after a month on Friday. I was cleaning off the front of the tank on Saturday and I noticed two very small chips in the front pane of glass on the tank.
They remind me of rock chips you would get in your windshield. Both chips are on the outside andabout 1/32" across. They are in the bottom right corner and about 8" in from the bottom and the side. When I look in from the the side the glass they are very shallow, maybe a 1/32" deep. Should I be extremely worried about this??? I am sure given the amount of LR in side people's tank that similiar things have occurred. I kind of figuredI picked them upwhen I was moving it around in transport or cleaning it.
I thoughtabout calling the windshield repiar folks. Any thoughts?

Could definitely lead to problems... IMO, replace with a new pane and reseal. If you can make way, maybe you can get a starfire glass pane.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying

I'm not sure what that stuff is they use to 'repair' windshields, looks like a clear epoxy sort of filler that hides the star pattern, I could be wrong but I highly doubt it would restore any strength to the glass.

You've already got her filled up, did you start populating the tank yet? Replace the pane now or watch it very closely. How thick is the glass on the tank?
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.

The stuff they use for windshields really only is for cosmetics only. It does not strengthen the glass very much. It can seal a crack in a windshield to slow it from spreading from temp. variation in the winter time but that is about all so I really don't think that it is a fix for a tank if you are worried about strength.
How do you think the chips got there?

I am guessing the weedeater threw some sand/gravel and chipped the glass. I had the tank setting out on the patio for a week or two after the move. I found third tiny chip today. At this point I am just going to leave it alone and try not to worry about it. I talked to a glass shop about it and guy said tempered glass is prettytough stuff on the face.Theedges are britttle though.I have few healthy scrathes on the back glass that look about as deep.Ithink it will be OK as is.

I was planning on getting a new tank anyways when the remodeling was done.So I guess I just need to step it a get the remodelling doneASAP.

Possible but unlikely. She has other more effective means of motivation than bribery.
