Coraline, needs a few things, higher alkalinty (9dKH or higher), calcium (350-450ppm), moderate to high lighting, and most importantly time.
Seems some tanks will produce coraline like crazy and others not so much. Just wait it out, eventually you'll be cursing trying to scrub it off your glass.

I am pretty sure you need some to start with. Do you have LR with some coraline already on it?

I'd rather have your problem than mine. I have coraline all over the place, in 3 different colors. It's getting monotonous scraping it off the acrylic. My problem is I can't seem to get any coral to stay healthy for more than a few months.
in most cases it takes about 8 months to a year as long as alk and calc are suitable levels and a important thing is lighting the stronger the faster.
Actually I've been able to stem off the growth of coraline pretty dramtaically in our largest tank with rather high full spectrum (6500K) lighting (1200 watts of halides), compared to the growth rate when the lighting was 2/3 of what it is now it grew like crazy.
Now with in my newly established 10g tank with 70w 14000K halide, coraline began appearing within weeks, and continues to grow like crazy with similar Ca and Alk measurements.
That leaves me with the conclusion that there is something to be said about the amount and spectrum of the lighting used in relation to coraline growth.
