    Sorry to say but I gave up. After months of fighting bubbles I tore down my whole set up. I followed everyones suggestions finally my tank was so over run I quit. Didn't have the time, heart or capital to start over. All the suggestions failed. Crabs, low light, hand picking etc. All my lights filters pumps are in storage, 200+ pounds of rock drying in the sun out back. I miss the tank and the hobby but I don't think I can start over so thanks for all the advice and helpful info. I will continue to follow you guys and monitor the site.

    I am sorry to hear that. Were they air bubble or bubble algae?

    bubble algae. The whole rock area was covered. Tank was looking like a big green wart.

    sorry to see you did all that...if i would have listne to my wife a year ago i would have one less peice of furniture in my dinning room(the tank) but i just put it off and now its not looking too bad... I got 2 emerald crabs that must have done my bubble algae in..The one is almost steamable if i liked crab legs that is..
