    Default Eye Infection?

My girlfriend has two beta's (fighting fish) and one died last night and his partner seems to have an eye infection, the outer layer of his eye is very swelled up, is there anything I could buy to save her fish? Ive seen this in marine fish too, thats why I ask. Sorry for the freshwater question :-D

(Just started a 55gallon waiting for cycle to complete)

This site may be helpful: http://www.bettatalk.com/betta_diseases.htm

There are some good sites out there dedicated to bettas... if the above doesn't help, you might be able to find some advice on another site.

I'm sorry about your girlfriend's loss. My betta (Neo) died just yesterday, too. He was getting old... he had even turned gray, lol! He was a great fish, and we will miss him.

Good luck in your quest to save your girlfriend's fish...

Appreciate it! Looks like fungus that went untreated and reached his eye, things dont look good I know she'll be bummed but you live and learn. I'll let you guys know how my 55g starts going. Started her up yesterday.
    Thanks again!
