    Default Fed Up With Algae

It seems like every day my light turns on this stuff grow back its not realy a brownish red color anymore just like a dark purple even kind of green. I finally tested my phosphate and it wasn't very easy to read but looked to be at about 0-.25.My watchman goby and my knoby star have helped a lot with the sifting but it still kinda blankets some of my crushed coral and grows on the rocks what seems like daily. This weekend i am getting my skimmer, a fine mechanical filter cartridge for my g3,some clean up crew members, and maybe another fish. Im hoping these will help matter anyone have any other advise. I have found some kinda cool chemical cartridges for my g3 including phosphate and nitrite reducing ones that I have been thinking about trying if it will help but I just changed my chemical a week ago so it would be a waste plus I have a lot more of the media that I bought for it. Its not hurting anything but kind of a bummer to work on this thing daily and still have this stuff relentlessly growing.

Do your nitrates go right back up after you do a water change? I'd bet the crushed coral is your problem.

I haven't noticed any problems since my cycling has been done. They sometimes go up a tiny bit here or there but not usually a problem.
