I assume their on plugs right? If so you can use super glue gel or EPO-Putty. Just make sure they are exactly where you want them

If the waving hand coral is anthelia, I would try to keep it an "island" away from the main pieces of liverock in the tank. Mine spread like crazy and it is tough to remove from the nooks and crannies of the live rock.

    Default Attaching corals

Thanks for all the great advice. Now for the stupid question.........do I remove the live rock to glue them on or is the glue ok to attach to the coral itself and place on the rock in the water? Then will the glue residue/-fumes harm my fish?

Super glue works best on dry surfaces. It should still stick underwater but will be less effective. Epoxy/putties work either wet or dry.

Sounds like you have glue... hopefully a gel style. My recommendation is to use a towel to dab the bottom of the frag plug dry-ish, apply the glue to the frag plug, let the glue set on the plug for a minute or less, then put it in the tank and position it where you want it. Hold it in place for a minute or two for the glue can set. BEFORE you do any of this, first figure out where the coral will go and get the exact spot and angle you want it. Ideally somewhere where the frag plug is semi-locked in place. The glue will help hold a frag/frag plug in place, but don't expect it to perform miracles. It may take a bit of trial and error to figure out the strategy that works best for you.

    Happy gluing,
    Tom
