    Default FUGE MUD?

ok so i just built a wet/dry fuge combo out of a 55 gal tank to replace my fx5 canister for my 90gal display i have had it running for 3 weeks today and havent put the mud in yet because the lfs has not got the figi mud i ask them to order for me. well today was looking at the figi mud directions theny say for an established system to add 2 spoon fulls a day my question is will it be ok to add the full 12lbs at one time.

Never used the mud before...but is your system established already? If it is, I would go easy on it and follow the directions. The mud has trace elements and increased bacterial activity...making changes too fast could be a problem for an established system. I suppose it would also depend on the what is in your system as well...i.e, a tank full of sps is going to be less tolerant that a tank full of kenya trees.

well the tank has been up and running going on 3 years but with the fx5 canister witch is still running while the new sump get established and the tank is fully stocked with lps sps softies polyps etc... iit says to do the 2 spoons a day as a supplement and to add 2-3 inches to a new fuge so i dont know i guess ill have to do it a little at a time

I'm sure someone here with more experience with mud can chime in...
