i guess the way i understand is it might be safe for a little while?

And for the skimmer it is not a crack its a big chip out of the spot that the collection cup attaches to the base:need help to repair my skimmer.

i tried just loading the spot with silcone didnt work, idk what else to do, im not going to buy another collection cup.
it basically means no it is not safe. untested and not manufactured for the use you intend. no manufacturer guarantee like similiar products such as two little fishies two part epoxy. just because it resembles something used in marine aquaria does not mean it should be used. others may have used it, it may have been "o.k.". in the end either it works or all your stuff dies and the sand, rock etc. is contaminated. not worth it. a skimmer broken into little bits is trash. pick up another one.

Is it a flat or curved piece?
    How thick is it?
I might be able to make something for it.

it is flat peice with a curve from the lip of the skimmer its not think its pretty small, that would be cool if u could do that for me! id hate to buy another skimmer cuz i just bought this off another guy at the last swap, and its such a small break it seams it would be easy to fix

i just went to lowes for acrylic.... they have all sizes and thickness. you could easily fabricate something if it is a tiny spot. give it a try.

We can give it a try, just have Chris bring you over and bring the skimmer so I know how it all goes together.
If he can't bring you just let me know when you want to come and we will work something out.
