    Default Lights for FOWLR

Does LR in a FOWLR tank need special lighting (for whatever lives in it?)

No special light is required. I ran a home depot fluorescent.

It doesnt, BUT good lights can bring out the nice colors in the fish better than a cheap shop light.

I agree- no special lighting is necessary. I also ran normal output tube lights on mine. At many fish stores you can find these regular bulbs in many different spectrums- for color enhancment. One thing you will want to watch is bulb life though. As with all bulbs, they tend to shift spectrum as they get old, and tend to grow algeas.

Other than that- really any lighting will work.
