Default This a.m. Woke to cloudy water?

Dusk lights come on and wow! Tank totally cloudy WTH? Checked the skimmer which I emptied last night. The cup wasn't fully on. So I'm thinking this may be the cause? What say you all?

Did your sand bed get stirred up a bit?

Check everything real well. Make sure no missing livestock and that pumps, temp, etc. are where they are supposed to be. Test the water.

How do corals and fish look?

+1 double check everything.
Sounds like a bacterial bloom but with out a pic its hard to say. If it is a bacterial bloom make sure you have adaquate surface movement to get oxygen in there. Bacterial bloooms are usually not fatal to inhabitants if handled properly ie keeping oxygen levels up.

I agree, first thing I thought of was a bacteria bloom.

The last time I woke up to cloudy water my RBTA had gone through the Vortech.

I agree...sounds like a bacterial bloom. I went through one of these when I first started using Bioplastics. Took almost a week to clear up but the water was VERY cloudy.

I agree sounds like a bacterial bloom, but triple check that skimmer and make sure your not dumping micro bubble into the tank via the skimmer. At a glance they look the same.
