    Default Tobacco Brown Algae?

I recently upgraded to a larger tank - now 66gal total volume. Everything seemed to be going well. Now about five weeks in I a getting an odd bloom of light brown algae. Kinda clumping in mounds on the back glass. Current pH is painfully low too - at ~7.8, but N is 0 and NO3 also 0. Alk s 8-9.

I have other minor algae growth, but I've never seen this stuff before...

Its a normal cycle. Its a diatom bloom which will eventually die down. Make sure you blow it away when covering corals. Also remove as much possible with a turkey baster.

The idea of the turkey vaster is to keep it from spreading? Cuz, I really wanna take a scraper to it! I know, I know, patience...
