I'd say around 200 right now.

I counted 110 in this pic.

that is just too cool Adam!! i had never had that many survive at once. great job!

Well Big Bess is huge and picking furiously at the side of the tank. the ovidepositor is slightly showing. I'm hoping that if she does lay eggs that the male will know what to do and fetilize them. the male, now named Gil (from the movie The New Guy) is watching Bess and what she is doing but not taking any part in cleaning a nest area. I really hope he comes through, it will amazing to know a percula male is viable at only 10 months old, and to know that a replacement can be achieved so easily.

Big Bess laid some eggs, but to what parts i sat and watched Gil did not fertilize any eggs, he is still terrified of Bess. he was allowed near the eggs but anytime Bess turned around Gil went into retreat. Only time will tell on how things went. here's some pictures.

Big Bess is teaching Gil how to take care of the eggs. The egg clutch is bigger than Gil, I can see the confusion in his face.- "What am I supposed to do with ALL OF THIS!!"
In the video Gil tries his fins at egg care but you see Bess come in and teach him how to do it right,
    Gil- "I don't know what I'm doing!"
Bess- " OMG! you're being an idiot! Just do this, mouth them a bit, then fan them with your fins. Man up."
Gil- " Are these even mine?"
    lol.

I took a look at the eggs this morning and some of them had turned white, which means they are non-living. a lot are still orange but again only time will tell if any were fertilized. here's a crappy phone pic.

well, all of the eggs had turned white and picked off by Bess. None of them got fertilized. now that Gil has some experience under his bar maybe the next clutch will be successfull.
