I keep standing in front of the tank with a net in my hand debating on whether to pull the male out and put him in the tank I have set up for the larvae. that way he can just let them go in there when ever hes ready, but im worried he might spit them out or something when I go to catch them.

while watching the cardinal just now when he went to adjust the eggs something fell out it was hard to tell if it was still an egg or if it was a larvae. if I hat to bet i would say larvae, the eyes were the most prominent part of it. im really new to this so everything is something new to me. im still debating the best way to get the larvae into their new home, its hard to tell if they have hatched yet but I can say he is adjusting the egg/larvae quite frequently now.
