I recently switched to RO water after using tap water. I have begun adding
B-Ionic to keep ph/Ca up. When I add the #1 component, I get little white
chunks of precipitate which seem do dissolve again within 30 seconds or so.
Is this common, or is there something in my tap water that is still in the
tank and reacting with the B-Ionic?
I have done 2 25% water changes with RO, but the various compounds in the
tap water have been accumulating for several months.
When I got this used RO unit, I switched out the cartridges and the
membrane. The amount of crud the first filter is catching is really scary.
