    Default Lab Grade FeSO4

    Bob,

Sick of paying rediculous prices for supplements. Would like to know how/where to obtain FESO4 that can be dissolved and dosed. Also K+ also. While we are at it how about some calcium as well

    Mike,
I need to have some more details 1st.

What are you using the K+ (potassium) for and how are you dosing? KCl is the most common source, but you need to be very careful on the dosing.

Calcium for the reef tank is usually in the form of CaCl2. Most common source is DOW Flake or Peladow. Is this what you are referring to?

I'll talk a little about FeSO4 in my next response based on your answers to the able questions.

I am using the K+ supplement form Brightwell. I have a test kit and mine is at 380ppm. The Iron I dose for additional green pigmentation. I also dose the brightwell for that. I was refering to the peladow I just dont know where to find it

I dose everything with profilux pumps in small increment. The total dose usually gets divided by 4 so it is dosed about every six hours.
