    Default calcium supplements

Well im getting into a bigger tank. my 90g is currently filling. Im upgrading from a 35g hex and 20tall. Never dosed calcium as i my corals never used more than what i added in water changes.

With my 90g i feel like i have lots more room for more corals.

    My question is.....

What difference/benifits come from a 2 part dose compared to just a straight up 1 part like the seachem stuff.

I use the two part stuff because that was what was available to me and was recommended by a reputable LFS. I suppose if you had a properly CA/KH balanced tank to begin with, and Seachem's alleged ability to prevent precipitation is legit, you would get no real benefit from the two part stuff.

I find that my balance changes from time to time and I need to add lesser or more amounts of either CA or KH.

I am interested to hear what the others say...

ive always kept away from seachem... they just have too many similar products with fancy names it gets confusing to me. not that ive ever heard much bad about them though. id start out with kalkwasser in your top off water, then as stony corals grow you can look into other means of boosting ca and kh. bulkreefsupply ca and kh is the best for your dollar imo.

I use the 2 part from BRS. I use magflake for Mag supplementation. With CA reactors I always had PH issues so I decided to dose for tighter all around control.
