Deposits on equipment?

Wondering why am I getting salt/calcium deposits on my pump/heater in my make up water bin? This doesn't happen in the dt. Could it be from a lack of oxygen? I don't use an air stone.

Ive seen it also, I think it happens shortly after you add the salt, before you have hit a balance with the near 0dkh ro/di water and the very alkaline salt you dumping into the system.
