    Default EGGCRATE = PHOSPHATES?!

Ok i added a small portion of eggcrate to my 55g, and a large rack to my 90. Now both are fully blown cyano attack and im wondering if the eggcrates could be leaching phosphates into the water?

Ive been running my refugium longer to try to make up for this but does not seem to be helping.
55 Gallon. One year old, and looking SUPER.

No. The eggcrate is basically a magnet for nuisance algae. Your cleanup crew should be able to pick it clean.
