    Todd's having issue with firefox, but we've found it tends to run everything smoother (as well as chrome).

    IE definitely doesn't like chat as well as the other two browsers. You can turn off chat by collapsing the chat box (two little up arrows on the right hand side of the chat title bar). Or if you have no interest in chat, you can disable it completely in your UserCP--> edit options (link under member tools).
