Almost looks like a totally different coral. Is the color change due to lighting?

I'm not sure, I was having issues with a bad heater for a while. That infact bleached out all my montis, and killed one off entirely.

This guy still has the yellow growth, just at the outer egdes of new growth near the bottom. The purple has faded a little since my heater issue, but is starting to darken up in the centers again. Or were you noticing something I haven't ?

I'll try and take another pic through the glass, to get a full frontal. Sometimes I've noticed the color also changes ever so slighty when taking top down pics vs through the glass pics.
