Pics were taken under normal ATI T5HO bulbs, daylight first pic, blues only second pic. It only gets brighter under LED's. I just have to get a good top down pic now...

My tank is a 12" tall shallow tank, bare bottom(60gallon breeder 48"x24"x12"). There all on the bottom of my tank, moderate flow(though right now there's only one powerhead in the tank, plus whatever flow I get from my filters/skimmer, so maybe low - moderate flow). My light fixture is suspended a little over 12inches from the top of my tank. Anytime I move it lower corals are just not happy. So I'd say low to medium light.

And I feed mine every other day.

1- Turn daylights off, leave actinic's on.
2- I mix up some rod's food, cyclopeze, and coral frenzy, into a nice soup.
3- Turn off all sources of flow(including skimmer), squirt a little bit of the soup (just a little) over my favia's, acans, and other lps.
4- Then here's the hard part( at least for me, cause I have little patience) do nothing more for at least 15minutes. This is the amount of time (for my tank, and coral. may vary on different tanks ect ect. Each system is unique and different.) it takes for my lps to really open up and start "feeding".
5- At this point I turn my small aquaclear HOB filter back on just to get a little flow in the tank, help those sweepers to move around and catch food. Then I proceed to target feed every open polyp, eye, mouth, head, anything that's open and looking for food. They really love mysis shrimp, or any big meaty chunks.
6- Stand guard with my two acrylic pointer sticks, and keep my clowns and chromises from stealing food.(you don't have to do this, but that's just me, my fish get fed enough as it is, greedy pigs)

And most important, patience. Just let them do there thing, and then sit back and enjoy. Oh and of course take lots of pics for all the other addicts to enjoy and drool over.

Wow! I like the detail in your response. Thanks!

It is irritating when trying to feed corals and the fish and shrimp think you are feeding them!

Yeah I'd picked that one up too-even spending my last gas money on it
I have a little pen light attached to my Sea Squirt for night time feedings. Only time my Favias sweepers come out is in total darkness
Love your piece and great pics!

AJ and anyone else who's following along, heres a pic(not my best work) of the entire tank. It gives you an idea of where my lighting, powerhead, and filters are located. Also you can see where my little favia garden is currently located.

I have future plans for them and the aqua scape of this tank, but that will be in my tank thread(when I get around to starting one).

Thanks for looking AJ, and Miz
