Sun Coral is azooxanthellate, or non-photosynthetic corals meaning it does not contain a symbiotic algae. Because of this in captivity Tubastrea needs to be fed foods like vitamin-enriched brine shrimp or micro-plankton from an eye dropper directly to each one of its polyps. I have been feeding this coral a mixture of baby brine, Coral frenzy, and Reef Snow.
