Default Introducing the beast... before surgery...

So, will SPS grow under LEDs? Take a look at these fun four photos:

Here's my orange cap in a 130g tank, growing up the front side of the tank:

A closer look of at least an inch of growth up the front glass... it was also attached to the back as well:

    A top down photo:

And finally, out of the tank prior to surgery with a Dremel and a high performance non-breakable cutting blade:

Detroit's oldest large LED tank! Est'd Jan 2005, went LED June 2009. 6' wide 130g reef, Sunbrite T10 LED tubes (3xGen 3 and 1xGen 1), mostly SPS, but chalices, other LPS, and a few softies too.

But that thing is a monster. I saw it first hand and WOW... what he is not showing you is that he has another piece that rivals it or might be bigger because it has "leaves", or different levels to it.... His tank is amazing!

LOL! Got to love Michael Scott!

Since last month's "haircut" the beast is still growing, but it seems to be growing Up instead of out. That is good! The green cap is doing the same thing this time (without any help from me).

I was just looking today to maybe buy some M.- Cap. at my LFS, it was $10 for a 1" piece. What did you do with the haircut trimmings ?

All are gone... But I'm regularly getting frags for folks. But$10 is fair price.
