Default coloring up monits

i picked up a awsome superman frag at the swap and was wonder what kind of conditions people keep them in to keep the intense color. I have a chili pepper monti that doesnt seem to want to color up. share some thoughts on keeping montis.

Are the colors really dull/brownish, or are they light/whitish currently?

I find that the Sunset, Rainbow, and Superman monti's like a lot of light to get the nice colors. I keep them under 250watt MH, about 12" down. Same with the chili pepper.

I find stable alk and intense lighting to be the biggest factor with most encrusting monties. It is important to acclimate them to the intense lighting slowly.

1+ on the stable alk.....otherwise, they will starting browning out until it gets stabilized again.

I recently got a rainbow. How much blue do they like?

To get the rich blue i would use a decent amt of light, the spectrum does not matter that much.
I used to get great blues with 10k so blue is not that detrimental.
