Default finger leather removal...help?

Coral Reef Aquarium - Corals - finger leather removal...help?
i had a mishap with a crab and this leather...crab took off pretty good sized branch and was just munching away. needless to say the crab has been removed and close to a week later the leather appears to be dead or at the least dying, color isn't normal, the wound and the entire base is neon green, no slime of any coming from it though. i think i just want to remove it to avoid the worst i guess. but how? the rock its on is very large and has lots of life. open for any suggestions as to this is the first dilemma so far.

I would just leave it in the tank, it will get better with some time...

Yeah they are super hardy and will probably come back.... but if you want it gone for other reasons as well a clean razor blade, or scissors will work. If you can pull the rock out you could even take a flat head screw driver and hammer and break the rock off where its attached.
