Smile How Fast do Acropora Frags Grow?

I am new to Saltwater.

I also just went to my first Frag Swap in Lansing and had a blast.

I even won an RO/DI Machine in the Raffle.

Anyways, I bought a few Acropora Frags for 10.00 each to try them out.

I also got the eHopps Frag Rack to put them in.

I was wondering how fast do they grow?

People also sold Colonies.

Are Colonies better to buy and do they by any chance grow faster than Frags since they are more established?

nice! what swap did you go to?

Acropora all grow at different rates. So its really a mystery. The small frags seem to take forever to grow just because there small, and there is lots to grow to make it seem like its anything to be excited about.
Small frags can be ok, cause you can get more nicer pieces for cheaper instead of buying mini colonies.
But when it starts to grow, growth will increase, the more branchs the more growth your gonna get.

people like mini colonies because they will fill in faster, from what i've noticed.

Thanks for the reply.

I was at the Lansing Swap a few weekends back back.

Do you know when the next Swap Meet is? I had so much fun.

I never want to miss one of these
