ok what is it?

so the other day i go into fish doctors and pick up a mussid. it has multiple mouths and it kinda looks like its spreading out in a jagged looking sprawl each mouth has its own angle. i have no clue what it is i could never pronounce the name and although it was told to me i have no clue what it was and kinda would like to figure it out. ill try to get pictures up tomorrow. they will defiantly be up Tuesday at some point. but until then any suggestions to look at that seem likely. its kind of a purplish color and kind of plane when its under full light but under the attinics its a really nice green color........... i kinda feel like i shot my own foot but i would rather like to know.
