Default Vermetid snails bugging polyps

Coral Reef Aquarium - Corals - Vermetid snails bugging polyps
These vermetids are keeping this zoas polyps from opening. Their mucus thread lays right over them. It's been a week since the heads have opened fully. Any suggestions?

Can you super-glue their holes shut? I had a huge vermetid... i moved him shell and all out of the way of everything...but if these are stuck to the zoa rock... you're kinda stuck with 'em.

Can I super glue them under water, in place?

I just use a butter knife and scrape the chit outta them or grind em to dust. I got tons but funny thing is I don't get the long webs like most people seem to.

You can use super glue underwater (it's one of the ways we get our frags to stick where we want them too. ) BUT.. I like Jamie's idea too. Might be easier...less likely to glue your fingers together.

I've found there numbers drop as nutrients in the water columns are lowered. I can report that a few second laser blast at the base of shell causes the worms to come "flying" out

LOL - I've done videos on the laser destroying Aiptasia, GSP, Xenia and creating a DMZ between corals. I guess I'll add Vermetids to the "to do" list.
