Default RO with AZ

AZDesertRat has agreed to help CR as our Water Filtration/Treatment Expert.

To give you a little info on AJ's background, he has 35 years experience in the municipal water and wastewater treatment industry primarily focused on operations and maintenance. He is currently employed by a nationwide water/wastewater/environmental engineering firm doing project management, start ups, and training of new operators and plant staff in both conventional and membrane treatment technologies and specialties such as arsenic and volatile organic treatments.

AJ has been a enthusiast since 1980 and reefkeeper since 1990. AJ still has several of his original corals and anemones still thriving to this day! His current systems include a 100G SPS dominated mixed reef and a 16G nano reef.

AJ formerly helped in a similar capacity on Reef Central has been helping members here on CR since he joined. Captive Reefs is committed to providing the an environment to help hobbyist achieve the best success with their reefs. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with their own forum specific topics are one of the ways that CR is furthering it's goal of helping reef hobbyist succeed.

I would like to thank AJ for accepting our offer! Please join me in welcoming AJ to the SME team.

Great to be here on Captive Reefs and I hope I can help answer some questions for those interested in RO and RO/DI in particular as well as anything else that comes up.

And I want to thank ReeferRob for inviting me here.

Be glad to help.
RO and RO/DI can be confusing but the one thing that sticks out to me is you almost always ge twhat you pay for with RO and especially RO/DI systems. What appears to be a fantastic deal on the surface ends up being quite the opposite. I will spend some time on this forum helping you to understand the "buzz words" and the traps you can fall in to and how to avoid them and to help you make a more informed purchase.
