Default Chuck's Uber Secret Christmas Project

Hey all. Thought I would post up a build thread for my secret Christmas project for the girlfriend. She has my old nanocube set up as a planted tank on an old tv stand. She may be moving to a new house soon and showed an interest in finding something nicer for the tank to sit on since it wont be in her bedroom at the new place, So I got the idea in my head to build her a nice little stand for the tank. I ended up being able to get a pile of reclaimed barn wood from a co-worker for free so the project begins soon. It was a little wet today when I got it so it is all piled up in my spare room drying out. I'm basically going for a modern looking stand using the aged patina of the barn wood. Below is the design I have drawn up for the stand. Ignore the 2 different colors, Solidworks was screwing up on materials and I'm too lazy to fix.

When things get rolling on it I will get some progression shots as it starts to come together.

Alright, pulling nails from old barn wood isnt so fun lol. Had some issues pulling then out of the white oak 2x4s but got them mostly done. Mainly waiting for the boards to dry to start sanding and squaring everything up. Found some old forged square nails that I may polish up a bit and add into the tank stand for some accent touches.
