    Ok,
I leak tested my new tank and then noticed that I didn't have any thing to siphon my tank out and the hose was being borrowed by the neighbor. What to do....I got it, start attaching spare pieces of PVC together and use that. I got a kick out of it, worked like a charm too!
...I think my fish just farted.

tyler, i am impressed with the skills you are developing in the DIY area. keep up the great work and " always be smarter than the tools you are working with". learning from your mistakes makes you never forget what you learned. as for my "copper" joke ... im gonna leave it alone today. lol everyone else is doing a good job on that anyway. lol
