Default Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper NET Module

Thinking of snagging one, who else here has one?
Looking for specific instructions on additional equipment required for set up.

I have one, love it. Its nice to check up on things when your on vacation. Currently you can't make changes via the net, but that's coming together soon.

Do you have yours hook to a modem through an ethernet cable or will it communicate wirelessly?

As far as I know you need an Ethernet cable, they don't make a wireless module.

Thats right, you need a Ethernet cable from RKM-NET to your router, but you can connect wireless from any other device after that.

Are there any alternatives or options if I didn't want to run an ethernet cable throughout the entire house down to the basement computer room? I would need like a 100+ cable.

    You could...

    1. Move the modem and router closer to the tank. Only practical if you don't have other things plugged into the router.
    2. Hook up a second modem/router combo next to the tank
    3. Move the tank and/or office

Someone had mentioned a "repeater" and that would communicate wirelessly to the modem???

I have a question about this unit. Can you use a couple drew's dosers to have the RK automate a 2 part dosing system?

Yeah I'm running that set up. For my tank I run the dowsers 4 times a day for alk and 4 times for Ca for 18 min. each dose. I was thinking of running a third for vodka, but decided to manual dose for now.
