jay, i got 2 of them built and running, I am running half reef carbon and half phosban. I have one hooked to a 250gph powerhead and it seems to be working, would you think thats enough flow in there to be allright, the carbon does not look like its being "stirred"
I have about 150 gph on a rio pump... can you see a compairable flow out of the exit holes??? I don't believe you want the carbon moving or it just rubs the other pellets and breaks down. I am under the impression that 50 gph through a reactor is great for up to a 150.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying
Thanks for the link J,that looks like it would make an excellent carbon reactor too.I agree,50-75gph would be perfect for a reactor of that size.I've never used Phosphate absorbing media,i've heard so many different stories from people useing it.What are your guys thoughts on PO4 media?
I am interested in making one, can someone post pictures with directions on how to connect it into the system? Sorry novice here I understand how to make it, but not how to implement it.
