Default 660 Gallon Tank & Accesories (Full System)

    Will Ship: No
    Category: Tank
    Price: 8500
    Condition: Used
    ****AUCTION ENDS 5/27 @ 10AM CST****

Approximately 660 Gallon Aquarium With Tons Of Accessories
*UNIT IN AUCTION NOW. CANNOT SPLIT OR SELL ON THE SIDE*

We were hired to remove a saltwater (fish only, but could easily be used for a FOWLR or reef system with some modification) fish tank from a medical office in 2012 and it ended up in our possession as part of the transaction, now we wish to sell it. We have stored it in heated storage the entire time so there has never been any freezing issues.

The tank itself is acrylic measuring 3' deep, 12' long, 3' high with walls that appear to be 1"-1.5" thick for an estimated capacity of around 660 to 710 gallons (depending on actual wall thickness). We believe it to be closer to 660 gallon.

The tank is on a painted steel stand (designed to be mounted in-wall) which stands 42" tall, making the overall height of the tank and stand 6' 6" tall. Stand appears to be bottom lined with waterproofing.

    Under the stand sits a Nova Sump (2'D x 5'L x 20"H; Approx 115 gallons less equipment/media/etc).

Tank includes a working platform with stairs. Entire platform is made of steel with what appears to be aluminum diamond treadplate for a working surface.
The added height allows easy access to the top of the tank for work, feeding, or cleaning.

We are selling this as a single complete package which includes anything and everything we acquired with it during the removal.

    Partial list of items include:

    Tank
    Sand
    False-coral standpipes
    False coral decorative pieces.
~115gal Nova Sump Incl. Egg Crate & Bioballs
3 Large Plastic Garbage Bins, 2 appear to have ATO's installed for top off or mix water.
Plastic jugs (not sure if any have anything in them, they're stored in a bin right now)
    Spectra Pure RO/DI w/ 2 stage filter
    Utility Sink
    2 Baldor Pumps
Large Deltech Skimmer (w 3 Eheim 900GPH pumps)
    Deltech Reactor
2 Coralife Lights: Each 6' Long, 4 - 96W bulbs & 3 150W Metal Halides Each (One appears to be missing a cover plate, it may be mixed in with other stuff)
6 Aqualight 150W HQI Halide Ballasts
Pentair Clean & Clear CC100 Filter
    High Output UV Sterilizer
    2 Baldor .33HP circulation pumps.
    Koldwave 4WK16 Cooler
    Arctica Electronic Thermostat Controller
Metal Staircase & Working Platform With Diamond Tread
    Misc. Cleaning Supplies (Squeegee, etc)

*There may be more items in bins, stored in the sump, etc, the above are just the items readily visible.*

As the items have been stored in heated storage for a few years, there is heavy salt build up in some of the equipment, namely the waste cup of the skimmer.
Everything will just need a good cleaning.

As we are not aquarium dealers and have only moved the unit, we cannot verify or warranty that everything is in good working order at this time, all we can say is that it was working prior to us moving it and that we believe based upon that fact, that everything should still function. We do not believe the unit to have any leaks but as we have never filled it we cannot warrant that claim. Item is sold as-is where-is.

Unit is located in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Unit is local-pickup only. Buyer must arrange their own freight if they want it to be shipped.
We will load the unit for free onto a flatbed, single drop, double drop, or comparable truck or trailer. A curtain-side trailer is also acceptable.
We will not load into a van, utility, or other enclosed trailer for free. Such loading will require additional $200/hr charge. A credit card hold will be utilized prior to loading to ensure fund availability based on estimated time required because this requires picking the tank from the end.
Shipper must provide nylon ratchet straps to secure tank to frame during transport in addition to normal transport straps over the entire unit to secure it to trailer.

Please keep in mind if you plan on purchasing this item when determining where to locate it on your property, the total weight of the water volume is roughly 3 tons and once filled, including accessories, stands, etc, the total weight will be estimated between 3.5 and 4 tons, possibly more.

Dropped the price and forgot to change it here. It's down to $3500 after some discussion with guys who sell these size tanks day in and day out. It has a tenative buyer as well so I might be removing this post by the end of the week if he pays.

The funny thing is the guy buying it says he already has a 600 gallon in his house. I asked him what it costs to run the electric, he said it's running about $175/mo just for the tank.

Soooooo. Anybody want a **** of a deal on a massive tank? It's up on an auction right now with a bunch of our surplus equipment. $100 opening bid, no reserve.

    Lot #53 in this auction:
    https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=95660

You will need to register and get your bank to send over a funds verification letter to them to be able to bid online but it's worth i if you can walk away with a 660 gallon tank for dirt cheap which is a very real possibility right now. Just follow the instructions; I've copied them below as well.

Your credit card information is merely taken to verify your name and address. Before you can be approved as an on line bidder, you must email to GerlachCo@aol.com, or fax us at (262) 367-0158 a bank letter which will guarantee your funds up to $xxxx. Payment due day of sale."

Please help me get this massive tank out of my warehouse after years :D
