    Default Amount of overflow

I recently bought a new 55 gallon, RR, AGA tank with the corner overflow. It has a one inch bulkhead for the drain and a three quarter inch bulkhead for the return. Can someone tell me what the amount of flow is suppose to be rated at? I currently have a mag 7 hooked up for the return from the sump, and while I have not overflowed the tank, I am a little nervous about it. The Mag7 is wide open with no relief to the sump and is on 3/4 inch hose. According to the head loss calculator I have about 450 gallons of flow returning to the main tank. Any advice is appreciated.

    thanks

One of my 120G tanks is set up just like yours. Are you worried about the pump being too strong for the overflow? I wouldn't worry about it. I have two Quiet One 4000 pumps returning to the tank, one through the normal return, and one via a SCWD hanging over the back of the tank. The 1" overflow keeps up fine, but it's close.

Thanks for the input. That is what I was worried about. I guess if it hasn't hit the floor yet then I should be ok, huh. lol

    Thanks
