So I am hoping this is a good place to post this. Long story short I am testing a high ammonia reading, and it doesn't make any sense. No deaths to blame the high reading on. Is it possible for both of my API test to go bad around the same time and give similar false readings? Both tests are close to a year old, and right now that makes more sense than the reading I'm getting.
I should add, yesterday I did a 50% WC, because of the test results and still the numbers are the same. I would think w/ that large of a WC the reading would have dropped.
Your test kits are expired. Throw them out. Depending how long they sat at the warehouse and then the store before you even bought them will determine their actual shelf life, not just from the day you bought it.

That's what I was thinking and wanted to hear. Thank you
