with a cube like yours you might have some dead spots but might want the added benifit of another power head.

Just throwing out there that the MP20 is no longer made so unless you're getting an MP20 used from someone, your decision may already be made!

I have the MP10 in my 45 cube with seaflor special grade sand and that's plenty. Mine is just destined to be a paly/zoa tank but their is good movement. I actually turned it down some to keep the sand form shifting to much. I would suggest buying one and trying it out, you can always add a second one later if need be or when you start getting into the SPS more.

I have a MP10 on my 37 gallon that is mainly SPS. It is not enough flow. It keeps them alive but I would much rather have more flow. If I have the fish guard on it, it REALLY restricts the flow to the point that it's not enough. In a 60 gallon, I would really think you would need more.

I have an MP10 on my 60cube and it's enough in one spot, however, as mentioned above you will want the added benefit of a second powerhead. Now, if you had two mp10's staggered and one slave to the other then you'd be all set. Just a thought. You can do it with the new MP10's, not the old ones.

Well the Mp 20 is now sold waited to long to decide and i thought the price was little high for using it for 14 months.Does 200.00 sound high to everyone else?Mainly i am interested in the Vortechs for the battery back up.
