Default hanna checkers

Well the Binfords have gone digital.Mrs Binford and I have gotten tierd of fighting about what color we're seeing, and since it's her job to test the tanks I figuered I'd get her Hanna Checkers for christmas.I love being married to a fish geek makes x mas so easy LOL.Enough said it seems she really like them and we're seeing that the sali fert test kits are incositant and a thing of the past. The instructions are very easy to understand and if there's a conversion needed it is a simple one.Alk is an example, the checkers read in ppm so you need to convert the reading by multiplying by .056.Easy to do to get your Dkh.Each checker comes with enough to do 25 test's and they reagent replacement kits are under 10.00.The viles are real glass and the syringe's are well marked. The only down side I see is there's only checkers for No3,Alk,Po4 and Calcium so I guess we're still stuck with a few of the color charts.I highly recomend these tester's still and look forward to the future tester's.The 50.00 price might seem alittle steep to some but once you get use to these you'll never go back !!

I am right there with you Binford. I also have made the switch over to the hanna meters. I like having an actual "value", or number to use instead of interpreting what shade of a color I have. I am just curious why all the meters are priced at around $49.99, but the meter for Nitrates is like $180.

I don't know why that is either, haven't done that one yet.Very impressed with the alk and ca so most likely I'll buy the Ni one also after I use all of my LaMotte reagents up.Hopefully the price will come down by then

I have to agree with Mr. Binford on this one. I'm glad he bought these for me it is much easier to test. Its a _itch getting old my eyes just don't see that good and I'm tired of guessing when the water turns. with the hanna checkers you have to do just a few things and you have numbers to go by not colors. Money well spent Mr. Binford
