I'm looking for a good algae scraper. Small to medium in size, thin to be able to get between rock an glass and it must be able to remove coraline.I bought a medium size Mag float which is totally useless on coraline and the harder algaes. It also seems to be to much my glass as it does the herky jerky. So I've put a scrubbing pad in between.

Any suggestions? Best bang for da buck?
For the harder stuff i use a razor blade. keep them fresh as old will scratch the glass, and be careful to not scratch even with new.
Not sure if you already got one or not but I picked up a tom scraper today with three different scraper head options including a razor, a felt type, and a sifting shovel. Its got great reach, it isn't flimsy, and also was under twenty dollars.
We have bought all the above mentioned scrapers. They work ok but Mrs Binford found the best scrapers for a glass tank at Home depot. They sell a scraper kit for like 7 bucks. It has larger to small scrapers and replacement blades and these work better then anything else we've tried in over 20+ years of cleaning tanks.Hope it helps
It's just attachment you glue onto your mag float and it destroys coraline. It's so much nicer than having to try to reach on the inside with a scraper/razor. I wish I had found it years earlier than I did.
Rosebud hit the nail on the head, the "easy blade grey scraper attachment" is far and away the best thing for what you want, and nice and cheap. It flat blows away my $90 magnavore. And as far as using a razor blade, yeah they work but for 12 bucks you can do the same thing and never shove your hand in the tank.
