JD, right on buddy your cruising right along with that project. keep us posted. cant wait to see it.
-
FYI JD: Your lights are going out today UPS. I'll shoot you the tracking number when I get it. It's 2 separate ballasts. I used 2 timers to make the blue bulbs go on earlier than the whites, and stay on later too for a dawn/disk effect.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I hate to burst your bubble right now since you are just getting started. I have one of those Fision Nano Skimmers. It works well for about an hour then it's full. Once it's full you have to empty it. You will be emptying it about every hour. You will be better off getting a bigger or make sure you have an overflow tank to allow the skimmer to drain on it's own. I had one attached to mine and it worked okay. But once I put a larger one on my tank it cleaned it a hundred times better. Go to the nano build off and look for mine. There is a pic that you can see it on. It was just a new over flow bottle from a radiator overflow. You can use just about anything. For a while I used a one liter waterbottle. Be creative.

Heh, don't worry about busting my bubble, I'm gonna send it back and get something different. I am just not 100% sure what, yet.

Alright, This brings me to another question. which skimmer should I go with?
Keep in mind my tank is only a 20gal High, and i have no sump. I'll be using the HOTB aquaclear filter for a fuge....
Typhoon Hang on Skimmer
Coralife 65gal Model
Seaclone 100 Skimmer
These are 3 that I've found that fit in my budget, and I think may work. Any other sugguestions?

Don't get the seaclown. I have one it's a pain and I HATE IT!!! That being siad I have never heard anything bad about coralife.
-
does it require a sump though? (the coralife)
-
It can be set upeither way according to marine depot.

while we are talking about skimmers should they be run 24 /7? or once or twice a month? also i have the been thinking about gettingthe corallife 125 skimmer
