    Default Kemflo

I picked up a ro kemflo filter system used for 6 months for a $100.00 today. It should be a ro/di 5 or 6 stage. I was told it was 6 stage. It has one sediment filter, 2 carbon filters, a resin filter, a odor (taste, ordor, ect) filter, not sure what the other one is. I was told the resin filter is the di part. Good deal? I have know idea setting it up, help would be appreciated if you dealt with that brand.

Do you have photos or specs on the Kemflo product? There are literally thousands of vendors and resellers of RO products and most use commonly available components. Some are mediocre at best while others do much research and development before selling a product.
The number of stages really doesn't mean anything, its an ebay trick to make something sound like the best thing since sliced bread but 5 or 6 poorly thought out "stages" don't compare to 3 or 4 properly designed stages. What you do want to see is a standard size 10" sediment filter in a 1 micron or less range and absolute rated is better than nominal rated. A single 0.5 or 0.6 micron solid extruded carbon block, not two carbons, a good name brand RO membrane such as a 75 GPD Dow Filmtec or 100 GPD Ge Osmonics(very similar in quality and performance) and a good vertical refillable DI filter filled with 20 oz of reef specific mixed bed DI resin. Other "stages" rarely add any value except possibly a second DI filter.
