Hi, im new here. been working on salt water tanks and fresh water tanks for a long time. i have been looking all over the place for a good led source. Ive been searching the internet and ebay for a long time now. just came across a site called banginreefer.com. going to buy a light from them and see how it goes. the price is very reasonable and i hope everything works out. does anyone have any imput on the site or answers for me.
While there are a lot of that type of fixture out there on the market, not all of them are created equal. If you are looking for a cheaper LED setup, go with a vendor that has a good track record. As of right now, I'd say that 99.9% of the people on this forum have never heard of this company.
I have been researching LEDs a lot lately and haven't heard of bargain reefer. Are you thinking of going diy or just buying a set up? There are some folks on here who have LFS that have set ups in their store up and running for a while, and members w/ them at their homes. Shout out LED people point this guy to some reparable venders!
Well, Nano Tuners are a great provider of LED products, especially if you have a nano with a lid. I am going to send one of my employees (who is a reefer, which always helps her performance review lol) over to Nano Tuners for some work in the future.
I have been using the Sunbrite LEDs for almost two years with great results. I always offer my time and tank for show and display for people who want to see them. You can look at my blog (which is dated a bit but I'll add updates soon) for pics and equipment.
Detroit's oldest large LED tank! Est'd Jan 2005, went LED June 2009. 6' wide 130g reef, Sunbrite T10 LED tubes (3xGen 3 and 1xGen 1), mostly SPS, but chalices, other LPS, and a few softies too. http://pjr-reef.blogspot.com/
