    ok i got one of these for free to day brand new in the box going to use as skimmer till i can get one for the nano just wanted to no if any one new anything about these and if so will it work for now its on a 12 gal nano iam runing the 3 stage filter that came with the tank to

    Yor running this skimmer on the nano? Should work ok, as long as you can get it to skim consistantly.

    That skimmer/filter combo was the fist skimmer I used too. Work sometimes, and just a pain in the but most of the time. Great find to run on a nano for free though! Let us know how it works for you.

    Cant recall- your gonna have to mess with it and see. I had mine running about 12 years ago.

    This is a long time ago, but if memory serves, I believe we retrofitted them by drilling a hole in the plastic cover straight down into the collection tube. Ran a piece of rigid airline tubing down it with an airstone at the bottom all connected to an air pump. Really increased the output, as I recall. Worked pretty well in the olden days and if it is free, take it!

    just an up date it been runing 6 hours now and all ready geting good foam its still clear so will see ill keep a log and update with new pics it goes on
