    Default Meanwell 60-48P Questions

I see there's an internal pot to control voltage. Can I just bump the voltage a bit to run say, 14 LEDS off a single 60-48P?

My idea is that I want to be able to dim the blues, the whites, and the MCE's independently. If I can get the 14 blues on their own driver (Rather than driving 12 whites, and 10 whites with 2 blues), then I could truly control the color spectrum from the array.

I'm no expert on this but have read a bit about it... I think Meanwells can only run a max of 13 3W LEDs.

You may want to post this in the "Ask Evil" sub-forum. He's the local LED expert and will give you a definitive answer.

The datasheet says 52.8v. 14 3w leds at 3.7W forward are 51.8. I'll ask evil. I haven't seen him in a bit though.

    I'm back

The SRV1 pot is for adjusting voltage when in a constant voltage mode. When using it as a constant current driver for LEDs, the voltage will float to what the array needs, and the SVR1 pot is pretty much useless. You may be able to get away with 14 LEDs if the forward voltage of the LEDs is low, and you can sneak it in there. Remember that the voltage range for constant current mode is up to 48v (+/- one or two volts).
